10.30 – 11.15 WP1 Knowledge exchange and advanced studies of spin wave phenomena in periodic magnonic structures (Chair – Volodymyr Kruglyak, Exeter)

Task 1.1 (DIPE, UPV-EHU, UNEXE): The exploration of nonlinear magneto-optical diffraction as a potential sensing mechanism to enable detection of spin waves in 2D magnonic crystals.

Task 1.2 (IMAG, UNEXE, UPV-EHU, AMU): The development of a tight-binding type theory of the magnonic band structure in 2D arrays of magnetic nanoelements.

Task 1.3 (AMU, UNEXE, IFM-PAN, UPV-EHU, DONNU): The development of a theory of dependence of the integral response of magnonic metamaterials on details of the wave distribution within a single period of the structure.

Task 1.4 (IFM-PAN, AMU, UNEXE, DONNU): The exploration of the possibilities of control and minimisation of spin-wave damping in patterned and composite magnonic waveguides.

Task 1.5 (UPV-EHU, IMAG, AMU, DIPE, DONNU) Collective spin excitations and signal propagation in 1D and 2D vortex dot arrays.

11.15 – 12.00 WP2 Knowledge exchange in advanced experimental and theoretical studies of wave phenomena in nonperiodic magnonic structures  (Chair – Konstantin Guslienko, San Sebastian)

Task 2.1 (IMAG, DONNU, UNEXE, UPV-EHU, AMU, DIPE): The exploration of the effect of a variety of possible boundary conditions for the dynamic components of the magnetisation between magnetic materials on the spin wave dispersion in magnonic crystals. The investigation of the boundary conditions under the influence of spin and/or electric current.

Task 2.2 (DONNU, UNEXE, AMU): The extension of the theory of spin-wave propagation and scattering in curved magnonic waveguides to custom-bent magnonic waveguides of finite cross-section.

Task 2.3 (DONNU, AMU, IFM-PAN, UNEXE, DIPE): The development of a comprehensive theory (linear and nonlinear) of defect, interface and surface magnonic modes in 1D and 2D planar magnonic crystals and proof-of-concept measurements of the localised modes.

Task 2.4 (UNEXE, IMAG, AMU): The investigation of the effect of the micromagnetic states of a stack of magnetic nanoelements on their magnon dispersion relation and the spectrum of modes localised at the stack edges and at defects of the micromagnetic states.

Task 2.5 (UPV-EHU, DIPE, AMU, IFM, UNEXE) Spin-torque (ST) induced nonlinear spin dynamics in nanopillars and their arrays (coupled ST nano-oscillators).

Task 2.6 (AMU, IMAG, IFM-PAN, DONNU, UNEXE) The development of the theory of spin wave dynamic in fractal structures.

14.00 – 14.45 WP3 Joint enquiry into the interdisciplinary opportunities arising from the interplay between magnonic and nonmagnetic phenomena in magnetic nanostructures  (Chair –Jarosław Kłos, Poznan)

Task 3.1 (AMU, UNEXE, IFM-PAN, DIPE, IMAG): The development of complementary experimental and theoretical techniques for studying the spin wave dynamics in magnonic/phononic crystals - coexistence of magnonic and phononic band gaps.

Task 3.2 (DIPE, AMU): The exploration of the magnon-mediated Goos-Hänchen shift of electromagnetic waves.

Task 3.3 (UNEXE, UPV-EHU, DONNU, DIPE, IMAG): A comprehensive elucidation of the nature of the excitations

generated in magnetic samples by focused ultrashort optical pulses and the development of a theory of spin-caloritronic response of magnetic materials to focused ultrashort optical pulses.

Task 3.4 (UNEXE, AMU, DIPE, DONNU, IFM-PAN): The exploration of the opportunities arising from loading microwave waveguides and antennas with magnonic metamaterials.

Task 3.5 (DIPE, AMU, UNEXE): The exploration of the opportunities for coexistence and interaction of spin waves and electromagnetic waves in multilayered magnetic micro- and nanostructures.

Task 3.6 (UPV-EHU, IMAG, AMU) Emergent electrodynamics: Gauge field effects in spin dynamics of patterned magnetic nanostructures (based on the s-d exchange model).

15.00 – 15.45 WP4 Training, sharing and dissemination of the knowledge and results acquired in the realisation of the project with outreach activities.  (Chair –Sławomir Mamica, Poznan)

Task 4.1 (IFM-PAN, AMU): The organization of the workshop ” Magnetization dynamics: theory and experiment” as a satellite event of the conference The European Conference “Physics of Magnetism” which will be held in Poznan in June 2017.

Task 4.2 (UNEXE): The organization of the session “Metamaterial properties in magnonics” in the international conference” (e.g. in PIERS2016 - Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium) which will held in 2016.

Task 4.3 (UPV-EHU, IMAG): The organization or co-organization of the conference session or workshop titled ”Waves phenomena in magnetic nanostructures” in 2018 in San Sebastian.

Task 4.4 (DONNU, DIPE): Organization of the international workshop: “Magnetic Phenomena in Micro- and Nano-Structures 2015” in Ukraine in 2015.

Task 4.5 (AMU, UNEXE, UPV-EHU, IFM-PAN, DONNU, DIPE, IMAG)4 The outreach activities in the place of residence of partners.

15.45 – 16.30 WP5 Coordination.  (Chair – Maciej Krawczyk, Poznan)

Task 5.1 (AMU, IFM-PAN). To hold a kick-off meeting of the project and to plan the details of the collaborative research for the first half of the project.

Task 5.2 (DONNU, DIPE). To discuss the progress achieved within the first 12 months and to plan the collaborative research for the rest of the project.

Task 5.3 (UNEXE) (25th month) To discuss the progress achieved within the first half and to plan the collaborative research for the second half of the project.

Task 5.4 (IMAG) (37th month) To review the progress achieved during the first 36 months and to plan the collaborative research for the rest of the project; to start planning for sustaining the collaboration beyond the duration of the project.

Task 5.5 (UPV-EHU) (47th month) To review the progress achieved within the Project and to plan the collaborative research after the end of the project; to prepare the final progress report.
